Striga Dashboard: From B2C to B2B and Beyond

I spent my final year with Striga in Estonia. We were one of the first to get a Virtual Asset License, which was a big win. During that time, I was busy building the Striga Dashboard, which helps our B2B clients keep an eye on transactions and users.

Here's more on our license from the Estonian government.

Role & Contributions

I led the frontend team, worked closely with the designer to make sure the product looked good and was easy to use, and talked to some of our clients to understand what they really wanted. I learned a lot, especially about new tools and technologies.

What I Built

Striga Dashboard

The Striga Dashboard was built to serve our clients in several ways:

  • User Activity Monitoring: Lets clients see what their users are doing.
  • Corporate Overview: Provides info about the company itself.
  • Multi-currency Wallet: A wallet for different types of money, both crypto and EUR.
  • API Credentials: Where companies get the API keys to use our services.
  • Transfers: Allows for moving money between different accounts and wallets.

For regular users, the dashboard shows basic info, whether their KYC is approved, and how to manage their multi-currency wallet. There's also a debit card feature.

Compliance Tools

In line with strict data management requirements by European regulations, I developed a user-friendly AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance tools on Retool. Working directly with the AML team, I was able to tailor the tools to suit their specific needs, streamlining their daily tasks and improving overall efficiency.

UX Widget

UX Widget

To handle the sensitive task of sharing debit card information, I designed a secure UX widget, implemented as an iframe. This widget could be embedded into any platform, offering our clients ease of integration. We took customizability a step further by allowing in-depth CSS customization.

For more details on the UX widget, check this documentation I wrote.

Challenges and Learning

The biggest hurdle was understanding and working within Estonia's new crypto laws to get our Virtual Asset License. On the tech side, I had to get used to new tools like Remix.js and Retool. I also got a chance to understand our clients better, which helped us improve the product.

Project Impact

We reached out to lots of EU companies. Some liked what we had to offer, and others wanted more. This was key in helping us figure out where our product fits in the market. I said my goodbyes to the team in May 2023 and moved back to India, taking with me lots of learnings and memories from my four years at Striga.

Thank You and Farewell

As I bid farewell to Striga and my incredible teammates, I can't help but reflect on the amazing four years we've had together. I've learned so much and am grateful for the experiences we've shared. These years have been the best of my life, and for that, I thank each and every one of you.

I wish all the best for Striga's continued success.

Prashanth Balasubramanian, Prashanth Chandrashekar, ... and the rest of the team, thank you for being part of this incredible journey.
